This post is somewhat of a departure. It is a prayer following a time when God shone His perfect light in areas of my life that needed to change. This is for all those who are being held captive by false thinking–who need to quit believing lies and replace them with Jesus, the Truth, Who longs to set each person free.

 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.   Philippians 4:8

Dear God, 

You are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable. You are excellent and praiseworthy. I decree and declare that my mind is fixed on You. My gaze is upon You LORD, and you take my thoughts, transform them, and bring them to where You want them. You allow me to see what breaks Your heart, what Your plans are, and Who You are in the midst of it all–the same yesterday, today, and forever. You renew my mind, transforming me into Your likeness.

God, I lay down my sinful thinking.

I come out of agreement with the things of this world that occupy my mind and turn it bitter, or create thoughts of discord and anxiety. God I repent of agreeing with things of this world that keep my gaze in low places, small places, distracting and misleading places–places that march me away from the high calling You have placed on my life. In the name of Jesus, I snap them and their influence off my life–they have no say on my thought life–they cannot in any way proceed from thoughts to words. I end my time prophesying smallness and defeat over circumstances. I step out of agreement with lies. Out of agreement with past error. Out of agreement with destruction. Or sickness. Out of agreement with lack and poverty of body, spirit, or mind.

I come into agreement with Jesus–the Truth and the only way to the Father and His great plans. In Him and Him alone I live and move and have my being. I prophesy power, abundance, and blessing which brings me into alignment with Your purposes. My mind comes into agreement with Your plans for me. I claim You as good always and always for me. My thoughts align with Your Word, and my actions reveal that I am standing on Your promises. I come into agreement with all You have in store for this chapter and the next, knowing You are the God I can trust.  

Each breath I make from here on is a Hallelujah and a declaration that You are awesome. You are in control. That my mind is governed by the Spirit of the Living God. And that my thoughts are working with You to bring life and peace.  

May this exchange of agreement bring You glory. May I see fruit of this switch immediately, and for the journey ahead. May all that I agree with lead me closer to loving You and neighbor. May the new agreement take root deep within me so that no storm of life can uproot it. I surrender my mindset, thoughts, words, and actions to Your direction and transformation. Let Your Kingdom come.
